Glenda

Glenda Schroeder is the Resort Manager at the Glen Allen location, she joined Holiday Barn in 2002. She has been involved with pets most of her life. She is owned by five Cavalier King Charles Spaniels named Berkeley, Busby, 
Flora, Seymour and Dooley, and is a member of the AKC Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club. She owner handles her champion dog in AKC Conformation dog shows. She is a certified Pet Care Technician. Glenda has over 20 years in executive and management positions in the corporate world. She now has the "most awesome job of her life" that allows her to do what she is most passionate about -- working with pets and people in a customer service and quality focused environment.

Nancy

Nancy is the Resort Manager at Southlake Boulevard. She was born and raised in Howell, Michigan. Prior to joining Holiday Barn, she worked for eight years at Bokhara Pet Resorts/ Kennelsoft in Traverse City, Michigan. Kennelsoft is computer software designed to facilitate the operation of a pet boarding facility. Prior to her career in the pet industry, Nancy was a loan officer at a bank. Nancy has one son named Phillip and a lab/beagle mix named Ivy Lou!
Michael

Michael Hughes has been in the pet business as long as he can remember! Michael is a graduate of Randolph Macon College. He successfully ran our Invisible Fence dealership for 13 years before it was sold to Invisible Fence of Virginia. Michael is now the "Head of the Pack" for Pet Resorts; you are likely to see him at one of our locations helping our staff, our guests, or one of our customers. Michael enjoys seeing the staff develop as we strive to deliver the best customer service possible to our guests and their families. He is an accomplished retriever trainer and owns four dogs: Tuxedo a black lab, Lucy a yellow lab, Polly and Huckleberry both Boykin Spaniels.

Tina is the Grooming Services Manager (a.k.a. "Head Fluffer") for both our Southside and Glen Allen locations. Tina joined Holiday Barn in 2003 following 22 years in Mortgage Banking. A proud "Mountaineer", Tina studied communications at West Virginia University. She and her husband settled in Richmond in 2001. Tina is thrilled to finally be working with pets and says that she has finally found her "dream job". She is "mommy" to a beautiful rescued Lhasa Apso named Haley.
Melanie

Melanie Benware graduated from the prestigious Tom Rose School of Professional Dog Training. While in training, her focus was on obedience, dog behavior, AKC competition, agility, narcotic detection and tracking. She relocated to Richmond to pursue her training career with Holiday Barn. She has five rescued and well-trained pets: Lexie a pitbull mix, Coda a Husky Mix, Mari a Lab Mix, Chaco a German Shepherd and Isis a cat.
